Adnan brings 24 years experience in hearing aid innovations and startups. He started his medical device career developing pacemaker programming systems. He later joined ReSound, then a start-up developing the first programmable hearing aids and hearing fitting systems. Resound completed an IPO in 1992. He later founded InSound Medical, where he invented and developed the Lyric hearing device; currently the world's smallest and only extended wear hearing product. InSound was acquired by Sonova in 2010. Adnan holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas.
Director of Manufacturing Operations
Genevieve brings 12 years of experience in medical device operations. She previously worked at Beckman Coulter applying lean manufacturing techniques. She later joined Abbott Vascular contributing to the successful FDA approval of the MitraClip. Genevieve holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Florida International University, and a M.S. in Engineering Management from Pennsylvania State University.
Chief Innovation Officer & General Counsel
Varun brings 10 years of engineering and legal experience, shaping innovation strategy, managing intellectual property portfolios, and aligning legal interests with business objectives. Varun worked with Smiths Detection, Chevron, DLA Piper, and Dorsey & Whitney. Varun holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from USC, and a JD from UC Hastings College of the Law.
